MLB DFS PICKS FOR DRAFTKINGS 7/26/2020

Yesterday was another great day. Our pitchers were solid and we had a few low owned hitters that really came through. The lineup I put together ended up winning us 5x our money. We have another 11 game slate and I feel just as good about this one as I did yesterday. Make sure to follow me @RotoRiley and @SportsverseHQ on Twitter for more DFS content. Now lets get into this slate.

pitcher

Corey Kluber $10.3k - This play reminds me a little of the Darvish play yesterday. He has high upside with his ability to rack up strikeouts but can have a blow up game at random times. He isn't the same pitcher that he was a few years ago but it's very possible that he can get back to that form. He gets a matchup at home against the Rockies who, in my opinion, are a mediocre lineup. Sure they have Arenado, Story and Blackmon but I'm just not worried about them when they're on the road. The numbers will back me up on that too.

Trevor Bauer $10.1k - If you're not comfortable with rostering Kluber, then you can save $200 and move down to Bauer who has a solid matchup against the Tigers. There is not much to fear with this Tigers lineup but they have put up a combined 7 runs in their first 2 games. Still, their lineup is bad and I don't see them being able to get to Bauer today. This will most likely be chalk and for good reason. The Reds offense should definitely be able to get him the win as well.

Carlos Carrasco $8.6k - I'm curious to see how far they plan on letting him go. Reports say that his workload has gotten up to over 6 innings but my worry is that they don't want to push him too much in his first start back after being diagnosed with Leukemia. I think it's worth taking a shot at this price. He's a very talented pitcher in a solid matchup with the Royals. If this play worries you then there's one more guy worth considering.

Kyle Freeland $4.7k - I know he was really bad last year but at this price, what are you asking for? 5 innings, a few strikeouts and maybe only a run or two? If he can get you around 10-15 points then that would be incredible. The best part is, I think he is certainly capable of doing that. He needs to silence the big left handed bats on the Rangers and thankfully, the new ballpark seems to be a good place to be a pitcher. You are taking a heavy risk here as Freeland has finished under 0 DK points countless times in his career. His numbers are obviously a lot better away from Coors so if you feel like you need the salary for your hitters then this can be your savings. *RISKY*

CATCHER

J.T. Realmuto $4.8k - We're going to see a lot of ownership on the Phillies today against Urena and perfect hitting conditions at home. J.T. is off to a hot start so far and if the Phillies are going to put runs on the board, he will be part of it.

Omar Narvaez $4.7k - Tyler Chatwood is on the mound for the Cubs today and he has still not proven that he can have command over his pitches. He has some good stuff but if he can't locate then forget it. Hot day at Wrigley with the wind blowing out. Brewers lefties are in play here.

Christian Vazquez $4.3k - For the third day in a row, we will be heavy on the Red Sox. Wade LeBlanc is not a good pitcher and I don't think that magically changed during the offseason. BOS righties today.

FIRST BASE

Josh Bell $4.9k - First base is pretty loaded today and Josh Bell is in a great spot. He's better from the left side of the plate and I don't usually rely on PVB but he's 6 for 8 against Hudson with 4 doubles. Clearly he sees it well out of his hand.

Paul Goldschmidt $4.2k - Hard to see why he's not priced higher than this. I imagine that will change in the near future so we might want to get on it now before he's 5k. Good matchup and he's off to a solid start so far.

Ji-Man Choi $4.2k - He's leading off for the Rays today and they have a very good matchup against Thomas Hatch who struggles to find the strike zone. TB stack might be the nuts today.

Yuli Gurriel $3.7k - The Astros are a strong play today against a very inconsistent Yusei Kikuchi. He gives up a lot of home runs and Yuli hits a lot of home runs vs lefties. Not going to overthink this one.

Jay Bruce $3.6k - You have the option to either put him at first or in the outfield. Either way, he is a big home run threat and would be a strong piece in a PHI stack.

SECOND BASE

Jose Altuve $5k - So sad that he went from one of the most liked players to one of the most hated. Still, that doesn't change the fact that he's a outstanding hitter with a cake matchup.

Brandon Lowe $4.6k - Batting 2nd. TB stack.

Luis Arraez $3.5k - He's so underrated and is playing in a game with a high projected total. Will most likely go underlooked.

THIRD BASE

Alex Bregman $5.1k - HOU Stack. He's hot to start the year and looking for the first dong.

Kris Bryant $4.7k - Not off to a great start but I think this could be the matchup that gets him going. All he needs to do is hit a solid fly ball today and it will go.

Eric Sogard $3.9k - Leading off in hitters paradise (at least for today) against Chatwood.

Shortstop

Xander Bogaerts $4.6k - Really good play and he might not have a lot of ownership. You'll see why.

Carlos Correa $4.4k - Continuing the HOU stack and also not very expensive for who he is.

Didi Gregorius $3.5k - This is where all of the ownership will be going at SS. And why not? 3.5k for one of the hottest hitters in baseball batting in the middle of the PHI order that we're already stacking. Easy play.

OUTFIELD

George Springer $5.3k - HOU stack continued.

J.D. Martinez $5k - He's at 5k now but that won't shy me away from him in this matchup.

Nelson Cruz $4.5k - Will probably have some ownership with how many runs have been scored so far in that series. He's off to a great start.

Eddie Rosario $4.3k - ^^^^^^^^

Max Kepler $4.1k - ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Kevin Keirmaier $3.9k - Love this spot for him and I love that he's batting 5th in a lineup that I think will produce.

Kevin Pillar $3.6k - This is a nice cheap bat to have in your BOS stack. Not to mention he's batting 5th and loves to hit lefties.

Michael Brantley $3.3k - ??? Why is he this cheap?? He's batting 3rd in that HOU stack and I would also like to mention that he hits lefties well. I could see him being high owned but maybe people will just forget about him.
