NBA DFS Picks For DraftKings 2/18/21

My Draftkings lineups have been on fire since I have started writing articles for @sportsversehq. Yesterday was my third consecutive day of cashing and my main lineup finished in the top 30 in a big GPP. My “Starting Five” that I locked into all of my lineups was 3 Studs in Jimmy Butler (top play of the day), Jayson Tatum and Zion Williamson. It was followed by two value plays in Seth Curry (became a lock once Simmons was ruled out) and Tyler Herro. These 5 combined for over 244 Draftkings points. Tonight’s slate is much smaller with only three games so I will change the format of my article for tonight. I will highlight my top high, mid and low priced plays. This slate is loaded with great plays in plus matchups. Best of luck on tonight’s slate.

Reminder: If you have any lineup questions prior to lock, I will be happy to answer any of them if you comment and tag in under the article or DM me @rogersaj07. Also, if you retweet the article and DM me I will send you my player core that I will be locking into all of my lineups.

Top High-Priced Plays

Jimmy Butler: $8,800

Since returning from IR, Jimmy Butler has been scorching the league right now. He is averaging north of 50 DK points in the nine games since his return to the lineup. He’s returning 5.3x value in his last five games, and he gets a juicy matchup against the Kings on Thursday.

Lebron James: $10,200

In one of the two premier, national-televised games on Thursday, the top matchup has to be LeBron and the Los Angeles Lakers against James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and the Brooklyn Nets. 33.2% usage rate when AD has been off the floor this season compared to 30.4% with him. He should post a monster line versus a Brooklyn squad that ranks 26th in defense,

Giannis Antetokounmpo: $10,900

Giannis scored 34 points with a double-double and 72.5 DK points two nights ago. His 56.6 DK

points per game are unmatched and worthwhile, withstanding the slate-high salary.

Bam Adebayo: $8,200

Bam draws a defense that ranks 29th in the NBA, allowing 59.9 DK points per game to opposing centers. Fire him up!

Top Mid-Priced Plays

Khris Middelton: $7,800

This is strictly an ownership play. A lot of people will be off of Middleton tonight due to his dud last game, and rightly so. However, Middleton can explode at any moment and it would be good to have him in your lineup when that happens, especially at low ownership...

Fred VanVleet: $7,900: This play is dependent on the status of Kyle Lowry. If Kyle Lowry sits, VanVleet becomes a fantastic play at sub-$8,000. He’s playing minutes in the upper 30s and has shown an ability to explode for 50+ DK points on any given night. If Lowry does end up playing, I’d be a little more hesitant to jam FVV into my lineups.

Tyler Herro: $5,900

Herro should continue to play 30 to 35 minutes without Goran Dragic, and that should translate to a high scoring total for the second time in three nights.

Dennis Schroder: $5,800

As with James, Schroder too will benefit from Davis being sidelined tonight.

Top 5 Low-Priced Plays

Hassan Whiteside: $4,600

The Kings have ruled out Harrison Barnes and Richaun Holmes for tonight’s matchup against the Heat. Whiteside can see high 20’s minutes due to his needed defense against Bam and rim protection. This is also a revenge-game, if you believe in that.

Corey Joseph: $3,900

I never thought I would see myself playing Corey Joseph, but here I am. Luke Walton has been giving Joseph some good run the last few games. He even drew the start against the Nets. I don’t see Joseph starting tonight but he should still be good for mid 20’s minutes off the bench.

Marvin Bagley: $4,800

With Richaun Holmes out last game, Bagley put up 30.3 DK points in just 21 minutes. Holmes is expected to miss another game, meaning Bagley should be a solid rotation piece with Bagley and Whiteside taking turns at the Center position.

Kendrick Nunn: $5,300

Goran Dragic continues to miss games due to an ankle injury, which has led to more opportunities for Nunn. I expect Nunn to bounce back against a Kings team giving up the most points per game in the league (119.3).

Core/Lineup:

My core 3 are Jimmy Butler: $8,800, Lebron James: $10,200 and Fred VanVleet: $7,900 (if no Lowry). If Lowry is in I will roll with Khris Middleton: $7,800 as my third player. I will be taking a Stars/Scrubs approach on this slate. I will take advantage of the Kings value tonight to fit in my 3 Stars.

Reminder: If you have any lineup questions prior to lock, I will be happy to answer any of them if you comment and tag in under the article or DM me @rogersaj07. Also, if you retweet the article and DM me I will send you my player core that I will be locking into all of my lineups.

Thanks for reading the article and best of luck on tonight's Draftkings slate!
