NBA DFS Picks For DraftKings 2/23/21

The night didn’t go as I hoped, but at the end of the slate I still was able to cash with some lineups. My high exposure to Lebron James, Kendrick Nunn and Bradley Beal was able to get me in the green. My top play, Luka Doncic, had all signs pointing towards a big game, but he didn’t deliver. Luka had a good game for the Mavericks but not for DFS. I will take last night as a loss (now 5-1 in articles). Ready to get back in the win column with tonight’s 9 game slate.

Top Play:

Kyrie Irving: $8,800

There are a lot of great spend-ups on this slate that I want to play tonight. Kyrie is an excellent spend today. Irving is a PG/SG tonight which makes him an even better spend-up. Irving handed over the PG duties to James Harden which makes Irving the Nets starting SG. As the Brooklyn Nets' shooting guard, Irving gets a matchup against the Sacramento Kings team that's allowing the most fantasy points to the position. Kyrie also leads the team with a 33.5% usage rate with Kevin Durant out of the lineup and is $1,900 cheaper than his teammate, James Harden. Overall, Irving’s simply priced way too low on the slate given his upside and the fantastic matchup with Sacramento. I love him at this salary and his cheaper salary allows me to pair him with the likes of Giannis, Jokic and Luka. Kyrie is a lock in all my lineups!

Saben Lee: $3,200

Dennis Smith Jr. was the value guard to target once Rose was traded and Wright got injured. What we didn’t expect was for Lee to come in and steal Smith’s job. He played 33 minutes in that game, dropping a career-best 32 fantasy points. While I don’t expect Saben Lee to play 33 minutes again, it is very probable that he plays mid to high 20’s minutes and I will bet on it being Lee at such a cheap price tag.

My core 3 for tonight’s slate are Kyrie Irving:$8,800, Nikola Jokic: $10,800 and Saben Lee: $3,200. There is so much good value tonight and with some games being possible blowouts, there are opportunities for the end of the bench players to make an impact. I will try to fit a lineup with Kyrie,Jokic and Giannis/Luka and surround them with high upside value plays. Best of luck tonight and let’s get back in the win column.
