NFL Week 14 DFS Picks For FanDuel

The cash threshold for the Week 14 NFL main slate on FanDuel was abnormal as the cash line ended up being quite a bit higher than the tournament line. This tends to happen once or twice a year, but is still surprising when it occurs. Due to that, my lineup performed well in GPPs, but missed the cutoff in cash games. Nonetheless, this slate for Week 14 is shaping up to be a solid one as we have 10 total games with appealing options at all price tiers. Let's dive in to the breakdown of the NFL main slate on FanDuel for Week 14!

Top Play:

Derrick Henry (RB - $9000) -

ree

My top DFS play of the week is the player that carries the second highest salary, Derrick Henry. Although his price tag only trails Justin Jefferson, $9000 is still an excellent price to pay for the back that in my opinion is easily the top option in Week 14. Although this isn't the same Jaguars team as in years past, Derrick Henry has a reputation of annihilating them on the ground in recent years. In his last six starts against them, Henry has totaled 870 rushing yards and an incredible 12 touchdowns. Henry had 130+ rushing yards and multiple touchdowns in four of those six. The Jaguars are right around the league average at defending the run this season, but they don't strike much worry in me in being able to contain Derrick Henry. Prior to his last two contests where the Titans trailed early, Derrick Henry eclipsed 22 FD points in six of the last eight. I expect him to get back on track with a dominating performance in Week 14.

Best Value:

Phillip Dorsett (WR - $4900) -

As things currently stand, Phillip Dorsett is my top value play of the week, but I expect that to change as the day develops. Saquon Barkley, Kenneth Walker III, Leonard Fournette, and Amari Cooper are all listed as questionable at the time of writing this article, and would open up significantly more value if ruled out. Corresponding to each of the aforementioned players, whoever would start between Matt Breida ($4900)/Gary Brightwell ($4800), Travis Homer ($5800), Rachaad White ($6800), and Donovan Peoples-Jones ($6100) would all be excellent value plays if injury falls their way. Nonetheless, I like Phillip Dorsett as a punt receiver option this week at a cost of just $4900 with Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins already ruled out. Chris Moore ($5300) will also draw the majority of snaps for Houston Sunday, but I rolled with Dorsett for his explosiveness and cheaper salary. It is always tough to consider players on the worst team in the league for DFS, but there is no doubt that they will trail all game which leads to a pass-heavy script, and Davis Mills is starting once again, an upgrade over Kyle Allen.

Best Game Environment:

Minnesota Vikings @ Detroit Lions -

All week the storyline for this matchup has been how the 5-7 Lions are favored over the 10-2 Vikings, but with my degenerate mindset, I am more intrigued by the DFS appeal of the game. Some slates are tough to decide the top stack for, but this slate is not one of those. With an implied total of 51.5 that is 5 full points higher than the second biggest total on this slate, the Vikings @ Lions is the obvious option for stacking considerations. My primary players to target in this game are Kirk Cousins, Dalvin Cook, Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, TJ Hockenson, Jared Goff, D'Andre Swift, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and DJ Chark. Stack 'em up!
