The NFL season is finally back! For all of those who don't know me, my twitter handle is @Excyphir, and I am a Fanduel DFS player for the NFL, and the NBA. I had a ton of success on DFS in the NBA bubble, so I hope some of that success can translate over to the start of the football season. The NFL is my main sport, so I expect that my success will match that of the NBA at the very least. If you are looking to trail or would still like to see my lineup beyond the advice in this article, you can RT the twitter post for this article, follow both @SportsVerseHQ and @Excyphir on twitter, and send a direct message to @Excyphir asking for my lineup, and I will send it to you. I also will answer any questions that anyone has. Nonetheless, let's start the breakdown of the first Football Sunday of 2020!

Top Play:
Christian McCaffrey - $10,000:
This is probably the cop out answer for my top play of the slate, but it is the truth. It is no secret that CMC is the best fantasy player in football, and I always want someone of that caliber in my lineup. With the insane usage he sees in both the running and passing game, he is an extremely safe option with a high floor and limitless ceiling. Also, he has a match-up against a Raiders defense that is not particularly strong in any aspect, so they won't oppose much of a threat to limit him as a rusher or a receiver. He is priced very high at $10,000, which is $1,300 more than the next expensive RB, but that doesn't bother me at all, especially with the value play mentioned below.
Best Value:
Boston Scott - $4,700:
Miles Sanders has been ruled out of the Eagles season opener with a hamstring injury, which means that it is time to let Boston Scott go crazy. He is going to be extremely chalky, but chalk that you want to play. For this game, Scott is going to be the main contributor out of the backfield on all downs given that he is a capable receiver, so there isn't much that can go wrong with his cheap price tag. The last time that Boston Scott was the lead back, he had 138 yards on 23 touches, and scored three touchdowns. I would highly recommend locking him into your lineup. Other strong value plays include Joe Burrow, Chris Thompson, James Robinson, Henry Ruggs III, and Bryan Edwards.
Fade:
DeAndre Hopkins - $7,800:
DeAndre Hopkins is one of the top receivers in the NFL, but he is a player that I will be fading for Week 1. Given his talent, he is a fine play if you wish to take a chance on him for risky formats such as tournaments, but I will be avoiding him for my lineup. The Cardinals offense will have a difficult task going against the top defense in the league, and Hopkins will likely draw Richard Sherman coverage for a large portion of the game. Also, we have yet to see Hopkins play in a Cardinals uniform, so it is unclear how good the connection between Murray and him will be right off the start. You can play Hopkins if you wish, but I much prefer many of the other options around his price.
Main Player Pool:
Quarterback:
Lamar Jackson - $9,400
Russell Wilson - $8,400
Joe Burrow - $6,600
Other great plays: Matt Ryan - $7,800, Tom Brady - $7,600, Cam Newton - $7,300
Running Back:
Christian McCaffrey - $10,000
Josh Jacobs - $8,200
Boston Scott - $4,700
Other great plays: Austin Ekeler - $7,700, Joe Mixon - $7,300, Kenyan Drake - $6,600, Chris Thompson - $4,800
Wide Receiver
Julio Jones - $8,200
Davante Adams - $8,000
Marvin Jones - $6,200
Other great plays: Michael Thomas - $8,800, Chris Godwin - $7,700, Calvin Ridley - $6,600, D.K. Metcalf - $6,400, Henry Ruggs III - $5,100, Bryan Edwards - $4,500
Tight End:
George Kittle - $8,000
Zach Ertz - $6,600
Hayden Hurst - $5,200
Other great plays: Mark Andrews - $7,400, Darren Waller - $6,800, Rob Gronkowski - $5,500
D/ST:
Bills - $4,700
Eagles - $4,500
Colts - $3,700 (top defense play)
Other great plays: Patriots - $4,600, Football Team - $3,400
Core/Lineup:
My core 3 are Christian McCaffrey, Davante Adams, and Boston Scott.
