It's that time of the week again! In Week 9, our lineup managed to hit in both 50-50s and tournaments again, even without playing the chalky Josh Allen, which helped maintain the steady profit we have been producing all season. I always include this at the end, but I want to remind everyone that if you would like the lineup that I will be using, RT the article post on twitter at @SportsVerseHQ, DM @Excyphir, and follow them both. I love making money, but I love helping others make money just as much! Anyways, the Week 10 NFL main slate is shaping up to be one that I really love, and am confident in, although confident lineups don't always equate to what you thought they would. There are some chalky players such as Mike Davis that you should play, but there are also players who are driving low-ownership that I really like. As usual, let's jump into my advice for the Week 10 NFL main slate on Fanduel!
Injury News:
QB OUT:
Gardner Minshew, Jimmy Garoppolo, Kyle Allen
RB OUT:
Christian McCaffrey, Joe Mixon (doubtful), Raheem Mostert, Austin Ekeler, David Johnson, Jeff Wilson, Myles Gaskin, Justin Jackson, Devonta Freeman, Tevin Coleman
RB Questionable:
Chris Carson, Kenyan Drake, Carlos Hyde, Matt Breida
WR OUT:
Kenny Golladay, Deebo Samuel, Allen Lazard, Preston Williams, Laviska Shenault
WR Questionable:
Jerry Jeudy, Golden Tate
TE OUT:
Zach Ertz, George Kittle
TE Questionable:
T.J. Hockenson, Robert Tonyan
Top Play:
Alvin Kamara - $9,000:
Alvin Kamara is the top play of the week for me. With Christian McCaffrey sitting this week, and other top running backs like Derrick Henry and Dalvin Cook not being on the slate, Kamara is the most expensive back. Even though Davante Adams has had a massive season, Kamara is only trailing his average by .9 FD points. With running back being a much more stable position, I prefer the idea of spending up for it, which most of you that have been following my lineups probably know by now. Kamara didn't see a ton of touches last week as the Saints surprisingly got out to a big league early against the Buccaneers, but I expect him to be more involved against the 49ers, even if they are a worse team. Last week was his worst fantasy performance of the season, and he still managed to score 13 FD points. His sheer receiving volume makes him an extremely safe play, while still having the very high upside that we seek. The 49ers defense is not the same as a year ago, so they don't concern me in the slightest.
Best Value:
Mike Davis - $5,400:
Mike Davis is the obvious value play of the week. Even though he will be facing a tough Tampa Bay run defense (has looked weaker though without Vita Vea), Mike Davis is priced very low due to McCaffrey injury news not coming until after the prices were made. There isn't a lot to be said about the play, besides that Davis has seen a ton of volume and produced well without McCaffrey this season. $5,400 is just way too cheap. Other great value plays include Duke Johnson Jr., Darrell Henderson, Jerry Jeudy, Diontae Johnson, Curtis Samuel, and John Brown.
Fade:
Davante Adams - $9,500:
I must be out of my mind, right? Davante Adams has averaged more points than any other receiver by a pretty hefty margin, and has a favorable match-up, so how could it be that he is my fade of the week? Well, the reason is because of his price, and his ownership. Just to be clear, by saying "fade" I don't know mean that you cannot play him, it just means that I like him much less than the field projects him in terms of ownership. All projections still point to Davante Adams being the number one receiver this week, but I can't find myself playing him as much as the field is. Right now, he is projected to be the second most owned player on the slate, at around 25% ownership. I only play one lineup, but if I were to play over 100 different lineups like the top tournament guys, I would probably only have about 15 lineups with Adams. Feel free to still play him if you wish, I just personally won't have him in my one lineup because of his price. Also, there is a chance that the Packers go up big and don't throw as much, although that didn't hinder Adams last week. To note, there is also an upwards of 30 mph wins in this game.
