NFL Week 13 DFS Picks For FanDuel

I am ecstatic to finally be back with another article covering the NFL main slate after missing the last three weeks. I have been substantially more busy than usual the past weekends, but should be clear to cover the remaining NFL slates. Since my last article, I lost my streak of cashing on even numbered weeks and lost consecutive main slates for the first time all season, so hopefully the return of the articles puts us back to the success we were previously at. There are 11 games on the slate for Sunday, so there are plenty of player options to consider. Let's dive in to the breakdown of the NFL main slate on FanDuel for Week 13!

REMINDER: RTs on the article post on twitter at @SportsVerseHQ are appreciated, as well as following my personal Twitter @cobioconnell. If you would like to see my lineup package for the NFL season, message me there. Thank you!

Top Play:

Antonio Gibson (RB - $6200) -

ree

Having an ADP in the second round of most drafts, Antonio Gibson has widely been considered one of the biggest fantast busts of the season so far. Through the first eight games of the season, Gibson had just two performances scoring over 15 FD points compared to four of under 10 FD points. Gibson was banged up for duration of that span, but that doesn't help ease the frustration of fantasy owners for his poor production. However, he has started to turn it around in the last three weeks. In the last three games, Gibson has averaged 27 touches, which is a dramatic boost to his numbers to start the season. Headlining his recent production was his last game against Seattle where he totaled 36 touches and was responsible for over 145 yards from scrimmage. With JD McKissic out this week, he may be in line for another dominant performance against a Raiders run defense that ranks 25th in the league. $6200 is a price representative of the Antonio Gibson to start the season, not the one that we have seen recently.

Best Value:

Sony Michel (RB - $5300) -

With multiple starting running backs currently listed as questionable for tomorrow, there is potential for some excellent value options. Darrell Henderson, Josh Jacobs, and James Robinson all carry that tag, and I would be surprised if more than one of them end up playing. Provided their usual starter is ruled out, Sony Michel ($5300), Kenyan Drake ($5400), and Carlos Hyde ($5100) would all be quality options at a reduced cost. Carlos Hyde would enter a difficult situation against a stellar Rams defense, so Michel and Drake would be much preferred options for me. Of course, this headline is meant to represent the sole best value play of the slate, which would be Sony Michel if Darrell Henderson is ultimately ruled out. Sean McVay has labeled Henderson as a game time decision for Sunday, but after logging just one limited practice this week, I think it is more likely he sits than plays. If Sony Michel does enter the starting lineup, he will likely pick up a three down role in an enticing matchup against a Jaguars defense that is ranked 21st against the run. Pay attention to the injury reports prior to kickoff tomorrow, as that will tell you who the best value options are.

Best Game Environment:

LAC @ CIN -

I will start this section by saying that there is no game that clearly stands out as the best game environment for this slate. There are no games that scream "shoot out" to me, although there are plenty of teams that I am interested in targeting. If I had to pick a single game to stack players in, it would be LAC @ CIN. That game currently is tied for the highest implied total on the slate with TB @ ATL with 50.5, and is a much safer option to not be one-sided. Headlined by the best quarterbacks of the 2020 NFL Draft in sixth overall selection Justin Herbert and first overall pick Joe Burrow, there are certainly paths to this game ending up high scoring. Despite that, I would still like to target players rather than games for lineups that tend to be more on the cash side for mass entering tournaments, but stacking this game should be one of your priorities if you enter many lineups into GPPs. My favorite stacks would be pairing Herbert with Allen or Williams and running it back with Mixon, or stacking Burrow and Chase or Higgins and running it back with Mixon. Of course, you can throw in more players into the stack if you are confident in the game script.
