NFL Week 15 DFS Picks For FanDuel

Updated: Jan 1, 2022

Following two straight weeks of profiting in cash and tournament formats, we take on the unusual Week 15 NFL main slate. COVID has ramped up again resulting in many players being placed in protocols, with some teams being more heavily affected than others. The WAS @ PHI and SEA @ LAR games were some of the more impacted, which has caused them to be moved off of the Sunday main slate and to Tuesday. Due to those games being moved and a game already being played on Saturday, we have a smaller than usual main slate with 9 total games. Let's dive in to the breakdown of the NFL main slate on FanDuel for Week 15!

Top Play:

Davante Adams (WR - $8500) -

ree

Najee Harris and Joe Mixon are the two most expensive running backs on the slate, and they both have difficult matchups against defenses that rank in the top 10 at defending the run. After those two, the next expensive options are Aaron Jones, AJ Dillon, and Saquon Barkley, all of which are decent options, but are far from safe. I prefer to target some of the cheaper running backs, and even if you do play one of the more expensive running backs, you will still have the salary to spend up at the receiver position. With Cooper Kupp no longer on the slate, the clear cut best option at the position is Davante Adams. Adams is coming off a performance where he obliterated the Bears defense for 121 yards and 2 touchdowns, and has averaged the third most fantasy points of any back or receiver on the slate. Facing off against a Marlon Humphrey-less Ravens defense that ranks second to last against the pass, Davante Adams is in a prime opportunity to explode again. Of all the spend up options on the slate, Davante Adams is the safest while still maintaining a very high ceiling.

Best Value:

James Robinson (RB - $6300) -

James Robinson is free! After a horrific fourteen game stint at head coach, Urban Meyer has finally been released of his duties as head coach of the Jaguars. Despite the rest of his staff calling for Robinson to see more work, Urban Meyer refused to give the running back a workhorse role, which has caused Robinson to become almost unplayable in DFS formats. With Darrell Bevell working as the interim head coach, we should expect James Robinson to see the work that we expected when Travis Etienne went down for the season. Not only should Robinson see an increase in touches, but he faces off against the Houston Texans, who rank dead last in the league at defending the running back position At just $6300, I love James Robinson in this spot where all signs are pointing towards a "revenge" game of sorts.

Best Game Environment:

GB @ BAL? -

With the SEA @ LAR game no longer on the slate, there isn't a game environment that I am interested in stacking for this slate. If Lamar Jackson were to play, then GB @ BAL would become a candidate for that spot, but the current implied total of 43.5 points towards him sitting out in this contest. The highest implied total of any game on this slate is only set at 47.5, and that is a powerhouse team, the Cardinals, taking on the worst team in the league, the Lions. Because of all of the game environments this week, I would much rather look to target players than stacking a game, at least in cash formats or in single entry tournaments.
