I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and a happy New Year! Sunday marks the first NFL DFS action of the year, so hopefully we can start 2022 on a high note. Our NFL lineups have been rolling hot all year and as of late, so I am confident that we will be able to. The Week 17 slate is the largest one that we have seen all season with 14 games, so there are plenty of excellent games and players to target. Let's dive in to the breakdown of the NFL main slate on FanDuel for Week 17!

Top Play:
Jonathon Taylor (RB - $10000) -
It is no secret - Jonathon Taylor has been on an absolute tear this season. Both Taylor and Kupp have been the MVPs of this fantasy season, and both remain as the top plays on this slate despite being priced nearly $1000 more than the third most expensive option. It is crazy to think that a game where he rushed for 108 yards was a down game for Taylor, but last week's 10.8 FD points from him was his lowest total since Week 3 by nearly 5 points. Since Week 3, Taylor is averaging nearly 25 FD points per game - a ludicrous total. Jonathon Taylor will face a Raiders defense that is allowing the third most fantasy points to opposing running backs, so every indicator is pointing towards another big performance. Taylor's 0 receptions in the last three games is something to note, but that doesn't matter much when is median is well above 100 yards on the ground.
Best Value:
Trey Lance (QB - $6400) -
I usually like to promote the best value play of the slate as a running back or receiver, but Trey Lance is in too good of a spot at too cheap of a price. Jimmy Garoppolo is listed as doubtful to play tomorrow, which means that Lance should be in line to make his second career NFL start. In his first start against a respectable Cardinals defense, Lance scored 15.5 FD points. That number may not seem strong on the surface, but Lance scored 0 touchdowns in that game. Matched against a Houston Texans defense that ranks second to last in the NFL, Lance should be to perform much better this time around. Trey Lance poses elite rushing upside, which creates for a solid floor when comparing fantasy options. $6400 is far too cheap for the matchup and skillset of Trey Lance this week. If Damien Harris is ultimately ruled out, Rhamondre Stevenson would be a terrific value options at $5700, with Michael Carter ($5700) and Jaret Patterson ($5400) having solid value as well.
Best Game Environment:
ARI @ DAL and KC @ CIN -
The sheer volume of games on this main slate might make it more difficult to go with heavy stacks in cash or mass-enter formats this week, but both the ARI @ DAL and KC @ CIN games are ideal stack game candidates. All four of these teams possess high-octane offenses and are fighting for playoff seeding, which is an excellent recipe for a shootout. The live totals for the games sit at 51.5 and 51, making them the highest on the slate by 5 points. Going with Trey Lance at quarterback will make it a little harder to stack, but there are still plenty of ways you can target these games. All the quarterbacks, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Darrel Williams, Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, CeeDee Lamb, Amari Cooper, AJ Green, and Zach Ertz are my favorite players to consider.
