NFL Week 4 DFS Picks For FanDuel

We are nearing the best part of the week, football Sunday! As usual, I will be breaking down my favorite plays at every position for the NFL main slate in this article. For Week 4, we have no shortage of excellent options among all price tiers at every position. So far on the season, all 3 of my main slate lineups have hit in cash game formats, and I only missed in GPPs during Week 1. Also, it is worth noting that I have managed to miss the cash on only one even numbered NFL week since the start of the 2020 NFL season, which is a pretty wild feat. With there being many intriguing games and scripts that are shaping up to be high scoring this week, it should be a fun time for fantasy. Let's jump into the breakdown of the NFL main slate for Week 4 on FanDuel!

Top Play:

Derrick Henry ($10200) -

Derrick Henry is far and away the top play for the NFL main slate in Week 4. The Titans have already ruled out top receiving threats AJ Brown and Julio Jones, which means that Derrick Henry may see an even bigger workload than he has thus far on the season, which is ridiculous given that he has seen an unfathomable 92 touches across 3 games. Also, the Titans should have a cupcake matchup with the Jets, meaning that Henry will likely have a positive game script. I was all over Derrick Henry in Week 2 when he saw little ownership and erupted for 44.7 FD points, and you have to like him again this week. However, there are major differences between Week 2 and Week 4 with Henry - his ownership and his price. The price isn't as much of a concern to me, but Derrick Henry will likely be the highest played running back on the slate. Any time the highest priced player is projected to be the chalkiest, you have a prime opportunity for some excellent leverage on the field by going elsewhere. Derrick Henry should feast, so be cautious if you are going that route.

Best Value:

Aaron Jones ($7400) -

ree

I almost always reserve my best value slot for a player that is priced under $6000, but I couldn't do that this week. If any of the running backs that are listed as questionable do end up being ruled out (Taylor, Gibson, etc.), then their back up could easily take up this best value spot (Hines, McKissic, etc.), but there is no indication that those players will be out yet. Regardless, Aaron Jones is a terrific option for Week 4 DFS at a cost of $7400. The Steelers do retain one of the better defenses in the league, but they haven't played nearly as well as they did a season ago. I would argue that the 49ers defense is just as good as the Steelers at this point in time, and Jones was still able to produce a respectable 16.6 FD points against them just last week. There were some concerns with Aaron Jones after his lack of touches in Week 1, but that game was a horrendous game script from the start, and his touches have been there within the last two weeks. It is clear that Aaron Jones will be one of the focal points in the Packers game plan every week, and at just $7400, it is tough to pass on him.

Best Game Environment:

KC @ PHI -

The Kansas City Chiefs will be one of the best game environments for DFS purposes in nearly every game they play, and this week is no different. The game currently has an implied total over 54.5 points, tying them with the Cardinals-Rams as the highest on the slate. Surprisingly, the Eagles currently rank 5th against the pass on FanDuel, but that is not a number that I expect to hold much relevancy moving forward. The Cowboys were able to shred that defense in Week 3, and I expect Mahomes and the Chiefs to do the same. The Chiefs currently play at the 5th fastest pace in the league, whereas the Eagles rank around the middle of the pack. If the Eagles go down early, they will be forced to play faster, which means the game will become more of a shootout. There is always the chance for a blowout, but I think the chances that it affects the Kansas City offense's production is minimal, and if there is a blowout, it means they scored a lot in the first place. My main target for this game would be stacking Mahomes and Kelce with an Eagles receiver as a run back, and adding Hill if affordable. If you want to get to less ownership, attacking the Eagles side with a Chiefs run back, or targeting one of the Chiefs cheaper receivers, are solid choice as well.
