NFL Week 9 DFS Picks For Fanduel

We are back with more NFL action! Last week, we continued the streak of cashing on every even numbered week so far this season. The lineup finished around the top 15-20% of lineups and hit in cash and tournament formats. Week 9 features some interesting stories including the the rookie debut of Jake Luton, the return of Christian McCaffrey, and the absence of Ezekiel Elliot. There are a ton of intriguing options at all positions so I expect this week to be much less chalky than usual, which is a good sign for tournaments especially. With that being said, I will have more great plays listed under RB and WR than usual. Hopefully we can keep the wins rolling, so let's dive into the breakdown of the Week 9 NFL main slate on Fanduel!

Injury News:

QB OUT:

Matthew Stafford, Gardner Minshew, Andy Dalton

QB Questionable:

Matt Stafford

RB OUT:

Ezekiel Elliot, Chris Carson, Austin Ekeler, Kenyan Drake, Myles Gaskin, Carlos Hyde, Devonta Freeman

RB Questionable:

Josh Jacobs, Phillip Lindsay,, Mark Ingram

WR OUT:

Kenny Golladay, Sammy Watkins, Golden Tate, Adam Humphries

WR Questionable:

Calvin Ridley, T.Y. Hilton, Tim Patrick

TE Questionable:

Mo Alie-Cox, Dawson Knox

Top Play:

Dalvin Cook - $9,300:

If you risked it and played Dalvin Cook last week, you reaped the rewards. Players such as Derrick Henry and Kareem Hunt were much higher owned than Cook given their health and match-ups, but it was Cook who exploded for a huge fantasy day. Dalvin Cook has scored in all six of the games he has played in this season, and he had multiple TDs in half of those games. The Lions defense is allowing the second most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season, so all signs point towards another Dalvin Cook smash game.

Best Value:

DeeJay Dallas - $5,100:

If you can get a starting running back in a high-powered offense for $5,100, you should take it. Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde have been ruled out again this week for the Seahawks, so DeeJay Dallas should see a large volume once again. Last week, DeeJay Dallas had 18 carries and 5 targets, although he was in a positive game script, and the majority of his production came from the two touchdowns he scored. I don't know if Dallas will get 23 touches again in Seattle's pass heavy offense, but I am more than willing to stick with him with his upside and cheap cost. Other good value options include David Montgomery, Tony Pollard, Jerry Jeudy, Sterling Shepard, and Cole Beasley.

Fade:

Terry McLaurin - $7,200:

Terry McLaurin is projected to be one of the top 15 most owned wide receivers on Fanduel, but I am not nearly that high on him. McLaurin is fine this week, I just can't find myself paying $7,200 for him when that is in the same price range as players such as Keenan Allen, Stefon Diggs, and Tyler Lockett, who all have much better quarterbacks and are in much better match-ups. The Giants defense is by no means elite, but just a few games ago James Bradberry was able to limit McLaurin to 74 yards and no touchdowns on 12 targets. McLaurin will see a lot of volume like he has all season, but I don't expect him to have a substantial fantasy outing.
