The NBA main slate today consists of 5 games with some injury news to keep track of, but it shouldn't be super hectic like some of the previous days. Some of the news we are waiting on includes updates on whether John Wall, Victor Oladipo, and Andre Drummond are playing. With only 10 teams playing today, there are not as many options as many of the other days, but there are still plenty of players to pick from. Keep reading for my breakdown of the NBA main slate on Fanduel today!
Top Play:
James Harden - $10,400:
It has been awhile since I have played James Harden, but I really like him as a play tonight. His price is back in the $10,000s, which makes him a bit more intriguing, especially on this smaller slate. Even though he has failed to register a 45+ FD point performance in his past four games, I am optimistic about his chances to break the 50 point mark tonight. John Wall is currently questionable, and if he sits, Harden will see a big bump in usage and ball-handling. If Wall manages to play, I will still like Harden as an option, but he wouldn't be a lock or a core play.
Best Value:
Doug McDermott - $3,700:
With Victor Oladipo likely sitting in the Pacers' second leg of their back-to-back tonight, Doug McDermott stands out as the top value option for me. Even with Oladipo yesterday, McDermott saw nearly 30 minutes of court time while scoring 30 FD points. I expect his minutes to stay the same at the least, which should make it pretty easy for McDermott to hit value at just $3,700. I think 20 FD points is a safe threshold for him, with a ceiling that is much higher.
Fade:
Hamidou Diallo - $5,500:
Hamido Diallo has scored 40+ FD points in consecutive games for the Thunder, but that fantasy production is not sustainable for him. In those two games, Diallo has scored 48 points and registered 5 steals across just 52 minutes. Don't expect Diallo to be able to continuously score 20+ points a night, which is the reason for his recent fantasy success. Diallo should return to his 20-25 FD average point in the next few games.
