NBA DFS Picks For Fanduel 1/20/21

It is crazy to think that I haven't lost a single DFS contest under the Biden presidency! In all seriousness, I need an excuse to start a hot streak, as I haven't really found one yet on the NBA season. Today, we finally have a larger main slate after what seems like a week of slates with 4 games maximum. I don't know about you guys, but I much prefer the large slates with tons of options. With the postponement of the POR-MEM game, there are 9 games to pick from. As always, late injury news is bound to change up some of the top plays, so be sure to keep up with that. Let's start the breakdown of the NBA main slate on Fanduel today!

Top Play:

Goran Dragic - $5,200:

Goran Dragic is probable for the Heat today. If he plays as expected, I like him as a lock into my lineup. The Heat will be without Jimmy Butler as they have been for most of the season, and other players such as Tyler Herro and Gabe Vincent are questionable. At $5,200, you are happy if Dragic produces over 25 FD points, and I predict his median to be around 30 tonight. Dragic has managed to score over 25 in his last three games, and I think he is pretty safe to do so again.

Best Value:

Joe Harris - $4,500:

As I said in my last article, as long as Joe Harris is priced within his current range, he will continue to be one of the best value options. Kyrie Irving will be back for the Nets today, but that won't hurt Harris too much as he is still the top scoring option aside from the big three with the current lack of depth on the team. With his guaranteed minutes and scoring upside, he is always a great play at a sub $5k price tag. I wouldn't consider Harris a must play with the plethora of solid options at SF, but he is certainly intriguing.

Fade:

Kyrie Irving - $9,200:

With James Harden in town, Kyrie Irving will see his usage go down significantly as Harden is a usage machine. Honestly, I am not sure that one ball is enough for the current big three that the Nets boast. You don't have to complete shy away from Irving in GPP formats if you are a person who enters multiple lineups, but I would definitely limit my exposure to him. There is always the chance for a big showing from Kyrie based off his talent alone, but I don't like his chances to hit value tonight. There is some blowout potential in this match-up as well, so that is another slight deterrence to the big names on Brooklyn.
