NBA DFS Picks For FanDuel 1/25/22

As things still stand, there are many players in the league's health and safety protocols, so other players will have to step in and fill the void, creating for interesting DFS scenarios. The main slate tonight is a normal sized one with 9 total games, so there are plenty of intriguing player options to choose from. As on most slates, we have a lot of prevalent injury news that we are waiting on which could shake up the slate when released. Be sure to keep on eye on these injury situations as we approach roster lock. Let's dive in to the breakdown of the NBA main slate on FanDuel tonight!

Top Play:

James Harden (SG/SF - $10500) -

With the Nets returning home for tonight's game, they will have to add Kyrie Irving to their inactive list on top of the already injured Kevin Durant. That leaves James Harden as the only remaining share of the big three, and he has a very enticing matchup against a Lakers defense that is the second worst in the NBA at defending the point guard position. This game also has the third highest implied total on the nine game slate, which means that Vegas expects some points to be scored. James Harden has burned me quite some many times so far on this season, but you can't ignore the situation he is in tonight. When he has been without both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant this season, he is averaging 1.54 fantasy points per minute at a ridiculous 35% usage rate. Look to get Harden in your lineup tonight.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker (SG/SF - $3800) -

There is plenty of value on tonight's slate, and a large portion of that value can be attributed to the Pelicans. The Pelicans will be without Graham, Ingram, Hart, and Valanciunas, all of whom are usual starters for the team. The only active players on their roster are Jose Alvarado, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Garrett Temple, Herbert Jones, Jaxson Hayes, Tomas Satoransky, Naji Marshall, Gary Clark, and Willy Hernangomez, all of which are terrific options tonight, but I am particularly interested in those who start. One of the players that should be in the starting lineup is Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and he is priced at only $3800. Alexander-Walker only trails Brandon Ingram in usage rate for the Pelicans on the season, but he has had trouble finding minutes as of late. With all of the injuries tonight, minutes should be no problem for NAW, creating a very appetizing boom spot for him.
