I have gone a little cold the last few days after the big hot streak I went on. I am not going to go on a rant about last night, but let's just say the lineup was looking decent until Porzingis took the court. For the main slate today, we have 8 games. There is some very crucial injury news that we are still waiting on, so I will try to account for all situations in this article. As I say everyday, the top plays and my lineup core can change with injury or rest news, so make sure to stay up to date. Let's dive into the breakdown of the NBA main slate on Fanduel today!
Reminder: If you would like the lineup that I will be using, RT the article post on twitter for at @SportsVerseHQ, DM @Excyphir, and follow them both. Since my lineups usually change with injury news, be sure to check DMs before lock in case of a change.
Top Play:
Ja Morant - $7,900:
The Grizzlies will take the court tonight for their first action in nearly two weeks due to COVID issues. With that giving time to Ja Morant to fully recover from his injury, he should be good to see his usual plethora of minutes tonight. Of all the teams on this slate, the Spurs are the worst in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing point guards, so Morant is in a terrific smash spot. You need around 40 FD points to be happy with his production, and I think that is well within his median range. As of the time writing this, I wouldn't consider any player a lock on the slate, but Morant is an intriguing play.
Best Value:
Tyrese Haliburton - $4,900:
Tyrese Haliburton has seen his price dip to under $5,000, which is surprising since he played over 30 minutes in each of the Kings' last three games. In two of those games, one being last night, Haliburton was able to erupt for near 40 FD point performances. Also, the Heat currently rank in the bottom half of the league in fantasy points allowed to shooting guards, although they have not been healthy for awhile. Haliburton should hit value with ease tonight. As mentioned above, there are no must locks on the slate yet, but Haliburton is the closest to being one.
