NBA DFS Picks For Fanduel 1/6/21

This slate is going to be a tough one within the hours leading up to the start with all of the potential injury news and rest candidates. With that being said, tons of value will likely open up past the publishing of this slate, and my lineup will likely change, so make sure to stay up to date with all the news. The slate today is a large one with 11 total games, which means that the possible lineup combinations are endless, and there are numerous good plays to choose from. Let's dive into the breakdown of the NBA main slate today!

REMINDER: If you would like the lineup that I will be using, RT the article post on twitter at @SportsVerseHQ, DM @Excyphir, and follow both accounts.

Top Play:

De'Aaron Fox - $7,800:

De'Aaron Fox has already been my top play once on the young NBA season, and he finds himself there once again today. Fox is averaging nearly 40 FD points per game which is right on par with the output you seek at his current price, and that average is largely weighed down by a 13 point showing in a blowout. Although LaVine has improved defensively, the Bulls still struggle to guard point guards, so I predict a big showing from Fox and the fast-paced Kings.

Best Value:

Nicolas Batum - $4,400:

Nicolas Batum has seen 30+ minutes in three consecutive games, and he should be on pace for that again tonight with Paul George questionable and Kawhi possibly getting less minutes in a back-to-back game for the Clippers. Last night, Batum was able to put up a huge 40 FD point performance, so anything close to that today would be significant value at a low-cost. Buddy Hield, as well as many others, are another terrific value options too.

Fade:

Giannis Antetokounmpo - $11,400:

This game has blow-out written all over it. The Bucks will match-up with the Pistons tonight, who indubitably have one of the worst teams in the league. Giannis doesn't necessarily need a ton of minutes to put up monster performances (65 FD points in 27 minutes against Chicago), but that is not a risk I am willing to take on a big slate with tons of good options. Of course, this game isn't sure to be a blow-out, but it has as high of a chance as you will see.
