NBA DFS Picks For FanDuel 10/25/21

Following my worst weekend of DFS action since the NFL season started, I am back with an article covering the NBA, and hoping that we can start this week off differently. The NBA main slate tonight features 9 games, making it one of the bigger ones so far on the young season. I always prefer the larger slates since there are more options which usually correlates to less chalk. The prices for some players are still being adjusted, so I expect we should see a better balance coming in the next couple of days. There are many players carrying a questionable tag right now, so expect a lot of the best plays of the slate to change as the night progresses. Let's jump in to the breakdown of the NBA main slate on FanDuel for today!

REMINDER: RTs on the article post on twitter at @SportsVerseHQ are appreciated, as well as following my personal Twitter @cobioconnell. If you would like to see my lineup package for the NBA and NFL seasons, check the pinned tweet on my account. Thank you!

Top Play:

Jonas Valanciunas (C - $6600) -

As I mentioned above, it will probably take a couple of days before prices are fully adjusted for the new season. Because some players still haven't had their price balanced for the new season, there are some picks that you can take advantage of today. One of those players is my favorite play of the slate today, Jonas Valanciunas. Jonas Valanciunas is still only $6600 coming off of a game where he played 35 minutes and finished with just under 55 FD points. Also, he is playing the Timberwolves tonight, who are notorious for allowing a lot of points to opposing centers. The expected production in relation to his cost is absurd, but many other people are thinking the same way, so he will draw high ownership. Regardless, I will find it very difficult to go anywhere else at the center position. Often times chalk is good chalk, and I think that will be the case tonight with JoVal.

Best Value:

Cole Anthony (PG/SG - $4900) -

It is easy to point to Cole Anthony as the best value on the slate following his stellar performance last night, and that is exactly what I will do. You essentially needed Cole Anthony in your lineups to cash yesterday as he exploded for 62 FD points at the same cost that he comes in at today, and unfortunately for me, I didn't have him. This performance also came against one of the slowest paced and best defensive teams in the NBA, the Knicks. He will draw a similarly tough matchup tonight against the Heat, but $4900 is still extremely cheap for what his role is shaping up to be, even with Jalen Suggs now on the team. Anthony has played 30+ minutes in each of the games so far this season, so a relatively low floor and a high ceiling are evident. Poor shooting performances are always possible from Anthony, so I wouldn't classify him as a must, but he is the best play you will find under $5000.
