With there only being three games on the main slate last night, I decided to skip the daily article as there wouldn't have been much to cover. Luckily, I broke my NBA dry streak yesterday with a lineup that finally cashed after thinking that I might not ever see the green again. With 13 games on the slate tonight, you will be hard pressed to find another slate that has more games. With there being a healthy amount of games, there will be some diverse ownership with plenty of player options to consider. As on most slates, we have a lot of prevalent injury news that we are waiting on which could shake up the slate when released. Be sure to keep on eye on these injury situations as we approach roster lock. Since there are so many games tonight. Let's dive in to the breakdown of the NBA main slate on FanDuel tonight!

Top Play:
Giannis Antetokounmpo (PF/SF - $11500) -

I will start this piece by saying that there is no lock for me on tonight's slate based on how many excellent plays there are at every position. However, since there are so many great plays at a reduced cost, it allows you to easily spend up for top tier players tonight. Of the top tier players available, Giannis is far and away the best fantasy option. As expected, he doesn't come cheap with a price tag of $11500, but that is more than warranted as he is currently averaging more than 5 FD points higher than the second highest scoring player on the slate, Steph Curry. As I mentioned, it is not hard to get the salary to cover that cost today as there are numerous plays priced under $5000 that should smash value. The Knicks matchup is not ideal for Giannis, but he has shown on multiple occasions that he can boom in tough environments. On the season, Giannis has scored over 60 FD points six times, which is more times than he has scored under 55.
Best Value:
Ricky Rubio (PG/SG - $5500) -
As returnee readers will know, my "best value" play is usually awarded to a player that is priced under $5000, but I decided to break the norm like I do ever so often. As a pure point per price play, I simply think that Ricky Rubio is the best value on the slate tonight. Collin Sexton is going to miss an extended period of time with a torn meniscus, which means that Ricky Rubio will likely enter the starting lineup. Even if they decide to keep him on the bench, he is going to need to play 30+ minutes within a Cavs unit that is thin at guard. Ricky Rubio is scoring over 1 FD point per minute this season, and should see that increase even further without Sexton taking some of that usage. In the Cavaliers last game where Collin Sexton got hurt early into the affair, Ricky Rubio played 31 minutes and exploded for 55 FD points. That level of production will not be sustainable for Rubio, but he would have hit value at his current price if he only scored half of that mark. If you go by my standard that the best value should be cheaper than $5500, than you can replace this position with numerous players listed throughout my player pool. Based on the sheer size of the slate and the number of injuries that we have, there is endless value at every spot tonight.
