With yet another busy weekend for myself, I was unable to put together any articles covering the NBA main slates. I don't always put together articles on those days anyway because of my focus on the NFL slate, but it still seems like I missed more days than usual in the past two weeks. The main slate tonight features 9 total games, so there are plenty of intriguing player options to choose from. As on most slates, we have a lot of prevalent injury news that we are waiting on which could shake up the slate when released. Be sure to keep on eye on these injury situations as we approach roster lock. Since there are so many games tonight. Let's dive in to the breakdown of the NBA main slate on FanDuel tonight!

Top Play:
Luka Doncic (PG/SG - $10600) -

Aside from Nikola Jokic who is questionable to play tonight, Luka Doncic carries the most expensive price of any player on the slate. From a fantasy perspective, the start of Luka's 2021 campaign hasn't been as consistent as his production from a season ago. He is averaging 48.7 FD points per game, which is still a high volume of output, but is not the ideal number you would like to target for a player of his caliber who is consistently priced over $10500. However, Luka has recently started a more consistent stretch of the production that we are used to seeing from him in his last few games. In the last five games that he has played, Luka has scored over 53 FD points in all but one game, and he still managed a respectable 48 then. In one of those games, we saw that Luka still possesses the potential to have a ceiling game at anytime, as he scored 73 FD points with a triple double. Tonight, he will face off against a Cavaliers team that currently sits at fourth worst at defending the point guard position, so another boom situation could be in the midst.
Best Value:
PJ Washington (PF/C - $4900) -
PJ Washington has been battling injury all season, but finally looks like he has returned to full health. Prior to Saturday's game against the Rockets, Washington had recorded no games with more than 25 minutes played, but he was able to see a full workload and was on the court for 34 minutes in that game. That game did go to overtime, so 34 minutes might not be the expected total for tonight, although it is safe to say that he has finally gotten back into the starting rotation. Mason Plumlee has already been ruled out, so PJ Washington should draw the start again and see quality minutes. At a price of $4900, he is in an excellent spot to crush value as he only needs around 25 FD points to reach more than 5x. It is clear that PJ Washington does not carry the same median as he has in year's past with the Hornets team being much improved, but he still is an optimal play when given a situation like this.
