The main slate tonight features 9 total games, so there are plenty of intriguing player options to choose from. As on most slates, we have a lot of prevalent injury news that we are waiting on which could shake up the slate when released. Be sure to keep on eye on these injury situations as we approach roster lock. Since there are so many games tonight. Let's dive in to the breakdown of the NBA main slate on FanDuel tonight!

Top Play:
Giannis Antetokounmpo (PF/SF - $11200) -

Giannis Antetokounmpo has the highest median and ceiling of any player on any slate that he is playing on. That fact alone is enough to warrant Giannis as a top play option on any given day, but he is even more intriguing tonight with a discounted price and premium matchup. Although still the most expensive player on the slate, his $11200 price tag is the cheapest that we have seen him in awhile. Giannis would still be my top play of the slate tonight if he was priced at his normal cost of $11500+ because of the opponent he is playing. Both the Bucks (11th) and Hornets (7th) play at some of the fastest paces in the NBA, which implies that there will be a lot of points scored tonight. Also, the Hornets are currently allowing the third most points to opposing power forwards, so all the stars are aligning for a Giannis boom game. I am expecting 60+ FD points from him tonight.
Best Value:
Dewayne Dedmon ($3700) -
The Heat received devastating news today that Bam Adebayo will be sidelined for around 6 weeks with a thumb injury. In his absence, it is expected that Dewayne Dedmon will enter the starting lineup. Dewayne Dedmon is currently listed as questionable with a knee injury, so it goes without saying that this value play is contingent on him playing and starting. If he were to miss tonight, I would shift the best value play option to PJ Washington. At a price of $3700, it would be nearly impossible for Dedmon to not exceed 5x value if he plays, with his median being closer to 7x. In his two most recent starts with Bam sidelined, Dedmon played 25 and 29 minutes, and scored 17 and 27 FD points. 17 is the absolute floor for Dedmon barring injury, and even that number likely wouldn't kill your lineup. If Dewayne Dedmon is available and starting tonight, he will be in my main lineup.
