NBA DFS Picks For FanDuel 12/28/21

I hope everyone had a terrific holiday! As things still stand, there are many players in the league's health and safety protocols, so other players will have to step in and fill the void, creating for interesting DFS scenarios. The main slate tonight is a normal sized one that features 8 total games, so there are plenty of intriguing player options to choose from. As on most slates, we have a lot of prevalent injury news that we are waiting on which could shake up the slate when released. Be sure to keep on eye on these injury situations as we approach roster lock. Since there are so many games tonight. Let's dive in to the breakdown of the NBA main slate on FanDuel tonight!

LeBron James (SF/PF - $10900) -

LeBron James has been carrying the Lakers in every statistical category as of late, but the team hasn't been able to provide him with any help to equate to the win column. In years past, this would be a potential blow out spot as the Rockets are one of the worst teams in the league, but with the Lakers struggles, I think that is much less likely now. During his absurd stretch of production, LeBron has eclipsed 60 FD points in 6 of his last 9 games. Those totals warrant a $12000 price tag by themselves, but we can still find him at $10900 on this slate. When LeBron has been on the floor without Anthony Davis this season, he is averaging a stellar 1.47 FD points per minute with a 31.0% usage rate. The Rockets rank dead last at defending the point guard position, second to last against power forwards, and are also in the top ten worst teams against small forwards, so no matter how you label LeBron, he has an excellent match up tonight.

Nathan Knight (PF - $3800) -


Nathan Knight drew the start last night for the depleted Minnesota Timberwolves, and he filled up the stat sheet. In that game, Knight played 29 minutes and was able to score 43 FD points largely attributed to his 20 points and 11 rebounds. Naz Reid has cleared health and safety protocols but is still listed as questionable for tonight, so the value of Knight will almost entirely rely on his status. If he is able to draw the start again, I will be playing Nathan Knight at the inexpensive cost of $3800.
