Unfortunately, an early Ja Morant injury during yesterday's game prohibited our lineup from cashing, but more importantly, I am hoping for a speedy recovery from Morant. If the injury didn't occur, we would have easily cashed and been 4-2 on the season, but you can't do anything about that. Anyways, the main slate today features ten games with a plethora of intriguing options. Let's dive into the breakdown of the NBA main slate on Fanduel today!
REMINDER: If you would like the lineup that I will be using, RT the article post on twitter at @SportsVerseHQ, DM @Excyphir, and follow both accounts.
Top Play:
Larry Nance - $5,500:
Usually my top play is one of the higher priced players, but Larry Nance is the one player I would lock into your lineup for this slate. In the two games without Kevin Love this season, Nance is averaging about 40 FD points a game, although a 53 point performance is weighing on that heavily. 30 minutes are a given for him today, and I expect a point total in the 30s at the minimum.
Best Value:
Elfrid Payton - $4,800:
The Knicks will be without Obi Toppin and Alec Burks today which means that I expect a ton of Payton points, even if they aren't pretty. Him and Barrett will be the primary ball-handlers for the team and with his high assist potential, I can't pass up on playing him at just $4,800. Tyler Herro and Naz Reid were other candidates for this spot.
Fade:
Khris Middleton - $7,800:
Middleton has been amazing to start the season. He is averaging over 45 FD points a game, but I don't think that production is sustainable with Giannis and Holiday playing on the same team as him. I would prefer Booker, PG13, or LaVine in this price range.
Main Player Pool:
Point Guard:
De'Aaron Fox - $7,900
Jamal Murray - $6,600
Elfrid Payton - $4,800
Other great plays: Russell Westbrook - $10,600, Stephen Curry - $9,400, Kyle Lowry - $7,500, Coby White - $5,900, Ricky Rubio - $5,100, Jeff Teague - $4,800, Lou Williams - $4,600, Killian Hayes - $3,800
Shooting Guard:
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - $8,000
Paul George - $7,600 (better if Kawhi sits)
Buddy Hield - $5,400
Other great plays: Devin Booker - $7,500, Zach LaVine - $7,500, Derrick Rose - $5,500, Eric Bledsoe - $4,800, Duncan Robinson - $4,600, Josh Hart - $4,400, Delon Wright - $4,200, Reggie Bullock - $3,600
Small Forward:
Tobias Harris - $6,400
Larry Nance Jr. - $5,500
Tyler Herro - $4,500
Other great plays: R.J. Barrett - $6,200, Jerami Grant - $5,700, O.G. Anunoby - $5,700, Mikal Bridges - $5,800, Kelly Oubre - $5,600, T.J. Warren - $5,100, Anthony Edwards - $4,900, Josh Jackson - $4,300
Power Forward:
Giannis Antetokounmpo - $11,000
Julius Randle - $7,700
Naz Reid - $4,500
Other great plays: Blake Griffin - $6,900, Marvin Bagley - $5,100, Paul Millsap - $4,500, Jae Crowder - $4,400, Mike Muscala - $4,100, Davis Bertans - $4,000
Center:
Mason Plumlee - $6,000
Thomas Bryant - $5,200
Mitchell Robinson - $4,900
Other great plays: Nikola Jokic - $10,300, Joel Embiid - $9,600, Bam Adebayo - $8,200, Deandre Ayton - $7,100, Steven Adams - $5,400, James Wiseman - $5,200, Wendell Carter - $5,100
Core/Lineup:
My core 3 are Elfrid Payton, Larry Nance, and Naz Reid. NOTE: I am no longer playing Reid although he is still a great play.
