NBA DFS Picks For Fanduel 12/30/20

It was not looking great early on yesterday, but our lineup held in the money throughout the later games despite Giannis barely playing in the second half. That pushes us to 4-3 on the season, and would be 5-2 if it wasn't for the Ja Morant injury. Tonight we have a smaller slate with only 6 games, so I expect the lineups to be relatively chalky. Let's dive into into the breakdown of the NBA main slate on Fanduel today!

REMINDER: If you would like the lineup that I will be using, RT the article post on twitter at @SportsVerseHQ, DM @Excyphir, and follow both accounts.

Top Play:

Paul George - $7,600:

On this smaller than usual slate, there are not a ton of great options to pick from at the shooting guard position. All the players I listed are in play, but Paul George is my favorite of the bunch. PG13 is my favorite of the intermediate price ranged players, and the back-to-back isn't a large concern as he saw fewer minutes due to a blowout. In fact, if he did play his usual minutes last night, he would have likely scored around 45 FD points. If Kawhi plays today, Paul George would probably fall from the top play spot, but would still be a terrific option.

Best Value:

Brandon Clarke - $4,600:

With the Ja injury, nearly all of the Grizzlies players saw a price increase. Brandon Clarke is the exception to that. At just $4,600 and at the weakest position on the slate, there is no way that I will not be playing Clarke tonight. In all honesty, Clarke should be listed as the top play as well, but I usually reserve that spot for more expensive players. Play him.

Fade:

Kyrie Irving - $9,400:

I struggled to find a "fade" that I was 100% committed to on this limited slate, but honestly, I couldn't. I decided to label that player as Kyrie Irving, but he is still a good play as he will match up with arguably the worst defender in the league in Trae Young. The only reason I am putting Kyrie here is because I need someone, I personally will not be playing him, and I like other players around his price more. You can still roster him if you really wish, and I won't hate it.

Main Player Pool:

Point Guard:

Luka Doncic - $11,400

Jrue Holiday - $6,400

Tyus Jones - $5,800

Other great plays: Trae Young - $9,800, Damian Lillard - $9,200, Dejounte Murray - $7,300, Lou Williams - $4,600, Payton Pritchard - $3,500

Shooting Guard:

Paul George - $7,600

Devonte' Graham - $5,900

Grayson Allen - $3,700

Other great plays: Dillon Brooks - $6,700, Marcus Smart - $5,900, Duncan Robinson - $4,600, Kevin Huerter - $4,300, Luke Kennard - $4,000

Small Forward:

Tyler Herro - $4,500

Joe Harris - $4,300

Dorian Finney-Smith - $4,200

Other great plays: LeBron James - $10,500, Jaylen Brown - $8,000 (if Tatum sits), Kyle Anderson - $6,200, Miles Bridges - $4,500, Cam Reddish - $4,400, De'Andre Hunter - $4,300

Power Forward:

John Collins - $6,800

Robert Covington - $5,200

Brandon Clarke - $4,600

Other great plays: Giannis Antetokounmpo - $11,000, Anthony Davis - $10,200, Grant Williams - $3,600

Center:

Jonas Valanciunas - $7,500

Bismack Biyombo - $4,600

Daniel Theis - $3,900

Other great plays: Brook Lopez - $4,500, Robert Williams - $4,300, Ivica Zubac - $4,200

Core/Lineup:

My core 3 are Paul George, Tyler Herro, and Brandon Clarke.
