Streaks, Streaks, Streaks... After winning five straight contests last week, I have fallen into a slump and have failed to cash in five straight days. I realize that that is the name of DFS and that you can't win every day, but to lose that many days in a row is unacceptable, even if we are still in the profit overall. Hopefully the new month will bring an end to the losing streak, and will serve as the start of a new one. The main slate today features 10 games, which means there are tons of good player options. I much prefer larger slates, so I plan on turning around the recent misfortune today! As I say everyday, the top plays and my lineup core can change with injury or rest news, so make sure to stay up to date. Let's dive into the breakdown of the NBA main slate on Fanduel today!
Reminder: If you would like the lineup that I will be using, RT the article post on twitter for at @SportsVerseHQ, DM @Excyphir, and follow them both. Since my lineups usually change with injury news, be sure to check DMs before lock in case of a change.
Top Play:
LaMelo Ball - $6,300:
LaMelo Ball is a solid play regardless, but if Terry Rozier sits with the ankle injury he picked up against the Heat, then Ball is a near lock for me. His minutes have been somewhat sporadic this season, but when on the court, he has seen very good usage and a high fantasy points per minute return. With Rozier leaving the game early on Saturday, LaMelo played 31 minutes and scored 54.5 FD points. Ball's value will take a pretty big hit if Rozier does play today, but he would still be playable. Also, the Heat rank in the top 10 in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing point guards, although the implied total is relatively low for this game.
Best Value:
Will Barton - $4,000:
Will Barton had a stretch of four games where he failed to score 20+ FD points, but I didn't expect his price to be this low given he has played 30+ minutes in the past two games. Last night, Barton was able to score 33.6 FD points across 37 minutes, which would be terrific value for this price. Michael Porter Jr. got in foul trouble and Gary Harris didn't play much in that game which is a large reasoning for those minutes, but Harris will not play today, so a similar path to minutes is likely. You only need a little over 20 FD points from him to be happy at his price, and I think that is well within his average projection.

Core/Lineup:
My core 3 are LaMelo Ball (if Rozier doesn't play), Khris Middleton, and Kristaps Porzingis. Middleton and Porzingis aren't "must plays", but I like them a lot. Drummond/Rozier injury news could change the core as well.
