Call it a hunch, call it wishful thinking, call it what you will, but I am calling my shot today. After a disappointing last week or so of NBA DFS, for absolutely no reason, I have a good feeling about today. The slate today features 9 games with a ton of intriguing value options headlined by the Thunder only having 8 available players (update: 9 now with Muscala being active). As I say everyday, the top plays and my lineup core can change with injury or rest news, so make sure to stay up to date. Let's dive into the breakdown of the NBA main slate on Fanduel today!
Reminder: If you would like the lineup that I will be using, RT the article post on twitter for at @SportsVerseHQ, DM @Excyphir, and follow them both. Since my lineups usually change with injury news, be sure to check DMs before lock in case of a change.
Top Play:
Luka Doncic - $10,900:
Once again, we have Luka at a sub $11k price tag in a smash spot. I have said this numerous times, but anytime that those two things align, I am going to be all over playing Luka Doncic. Trae Young is one of the worst defenders in the NBA, and the Hawks allow the 5th most fantasy points to opposing PGs. Porzingis could have some trouble with Capela, which is another possible route to seeing Luka have more usage than usual, which is pretty insane given the giant usage he already sees. In what should be a fast-paced game, I will be playing Luka today and won't be thinking twice about it.
Best Value:
Patrick Williams - $4,400:
Patrick Williams was my best value play on Monday's main slate, and he finds himself right there again today since his price was not adjusted. In the Bulls' game on Monday, Williams had a disappointing fantasy showing as he only scored 17 FD points across 35 minutes, but there won't be many more times where he averages less than .5 FD points per minute. Williams has seen over 32 minutes of court time in four consecutive games, and that is just too good for me to pass up on at the lowly cost of $4,400. Assuming there is no slate breaking news (might be a hard assumption), Patrick Williams will be a core play for me. His teammate, Denzel Valentine, could be put in this spot as well.
