I am back with another article today after taking off yesterday with the four game slate. Last night's posted lineup didn't cash, but I am not too disappointed as I always play less money on the smaller slates since I don't like them. For today, the main slate features 9 games with a lot of possible routes to building a nice line. As I say everyday, the top plays and my lineup core can change with injury or rest news, so make sure to stay up to date. Let's dive into the breakdown of the NBA main slate on Fanduel today!
Reminder: If you would like the lineup that I will be using, RT the article post on twitter for at @SportsVerseHQ, DM @Excyphir, and follow them both. Since my lineups usually change with injury news, be sure to check DMs before lock in case of a change.
Top Play:
LaMelo Ball - $7,800:
The Hornets' roster is going to be razor thin once again tonight, which makes everyone active an intriguing play. I think you need to play at least 2 people from this team, but I will likely be rostering 3 or 4 of them. Of the bunch, LaMelo Ball is my favorite play. His last five game logs total 44, 36, 43, 37, and 60 FD points. With him likely needing to play 35+ minutes tonight, I project his median to be just over 40 FD points. Also, the Spurs are dead last in fantasy points allowed to opposing point guards. LaMelo Ball is a core play of mine for this slate.
Best Value:
Monte Morris - $4,100:
As the slate looks right now, I am a fan of taking a balanced approach and not playing too many cheap options. However, if you are looking for some salary relief, Monte Morris is my favorite sub $5k play of the slate. Will Barton, who plays well over 30 minutes a game, has been ruled out, and Jamal Murray is currently questionable, which means that Monte Morris should see an extended run tonight. If Jamal Murray gets ruled out, I will be even more intrigued to switch on to Monte Morris, but he is an excellent play regardless. The only problem is that I really like the options at point guard.
