NBA DFS Picks For FanDuel 2/2/22

As things still stand, there are many players in the league's health and safety protocols, so other players will have to step in and fill the void, creating for interesting DFS scenarios. The main slate tonight is a large sized one with 9 total games, so there are plenty of intriguing player options to choose from. As on most slates, we have a lot of prevalent injury news that we are waiting on which could shake up the slate when released. Josh Giddey ($6000) -

Despite a miserable first half for the team Josh Giddey was able to lead the SGA-less Thunder to victory against the Trail Blazers on Monday. In that game, Giddey produced 34 FD points in his 14 point and 12 rebound double-double performance. With SGA sidelined through the break, Josh Giddey will be tasked with being the primary ball-handler and playmaker for the team again. $6000 is a very friendly salary for Giddey in his current situation, especially with his safe floor due to his ability to rack up any stat category. Expect the rookie to easily expand past his 5x value threshold again tonight.

Cedi Osman (SF/PF - $4400) -

With Darius Garland sidelined on Monday, Cedi Osman stepped into the starting lineup and was the recipient of a drastic boost in minutes. With Garland out once again tonight, Cedi Osman should step into an identical role against the worst defensive team in the league, the Rockets. On Monday, Osman played 37 minutes and contributed 26 FD points. Osman averages .85 FD points per minute, so that number can be thought of as a below median performance for him provided the minutes he saw. If Cedi Osman is inserted into the starting lineup again tonight, then his value his hard to pass on at a salary of just $4400. Osman has the opportunity for a smash performance in a dream matchup.
