NBA DFS Picks For FanDuel 2/24/22

We are back with more basketball! With the All-Star break consuming the last week, we have been without the sport in what seems like forever. The main slate tonight is a normal sized one with 7 total games, so there are plenty of intriguing player options to choose from. As on most slates, we have a lot of prevalent injury news that we are waiting on which could shake up the slate when released. Be sure to keep on eye on these injury situations as we approach roster lock. Let's dive in to the breakdown of the NBA main slate on FanDuel tonight!

Top Play:

Nikola Jokic ($11400) -

ree

On a slate where there are plenty of intriguing options at a reduced cost, Nikola Jokic stands out as the clear best spend up play. That shouldn't be much of a surprise as Jokic is the best fantasy player on any slate that he is on, but he especially sticks out tonight where DeMar DeRozan and Ja Morant are the only other players with a five digit salary. Following his MVP campaign from a season ago, Jokic has been absurd once again with an average of 1.76 fantasy points per minute with a 31.4% usage rate. Not only is his stellar game log worthy of a selection tonight, but he finds himself in a dream scenario against a Kings roster that is second worst in the league at defending opposing centers. The Nuggets carry the third highest team total on this slate, and Jokic will be the main contributor towards those points - play him.

Best Value:

Rajon Rondo ($3900) -

Injuries to Darius Garland, Chris Paul, and Jusuf Nurkic have opened pathways to Rajon Rondo, Aaron Holiday, and Trendon Watford being elite value options at near minimum salaries. Whichever of these players end up starting will be my favorite value plays of the day, but my guess would be that all three will be announced later tonight. If that is the case, then I would give the slight nod to Rajon Rondo as my top value play of the day. He is the safest fantasy producer of the bunch, and is also my safest bet to see quality minutes tonight. On top of that, he has an elite matchup against a Pistons defense that allows the third most fantasy points to opposing point guards. Make sure to include some of the aforementioned players in your lineup tonight for salary relief.
