Last night's main slate was a weird one for me. I was able to profit decently off of two lucky pool wins even though the lineup missed cashing in most GPPs, although it did hit in cash games. I am not going to classify the day as a win because most people who trailed my line probably lost money overall, but I can't label it as a complete loss either. Anyways, the main slate today features 7 games with a good amount of star players. As I say everyday, the top plays and my lineup core can change with injury or rest news, so make sure to stay up to date. Let's dive into the breakdown of the NBA main slate on Fanduel today!
Reminder: If you would like the lineup that I will be using, RT the article post on twitter for at @SportsVerseHQ, DM @Excyphir, and follow them both. Since my lineups usually change with injury news, be sure to check DMs before lock in case of a change. I usually send my lineups out around 30 minutes to an hour prior to lock, so as long as you have followed the steps and DMed me, you will receive it.
Top Play:
James Harden - $10,900:
The Nets are without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in what should be a high scoring affair against the Mavericks, which means that James Harden's usage is going to be insane. Even with Irving playing, he was able to score over 60 FD points in four of his last six games, so that number has the upside to grow even bigger today. I love the idea of rostering both Harden and Luka and letting them battle it out, although there are some really strong point guard plays if you aren't loving Luka. Harden is going to be very high owned today, and for good reason.
Best Value:
Joe Harris - $4,800:
As mentioned above for Harris' teammate, the Nets will be without Irving and Durant for tonight's game. Given that, Harris should be in line to be the number two scoring option behind James Harden. At a price tag of just $4,800, I find it really hard to get away from the second option on a team where their game should be high scoring. Small forward is a position that you can easily pay down for today to make salary relief for stars at PG, SG, and C, so it only makes the play that much easier. Joe Harris is a core play of mine on this slate.
