The main slate tonight is a massive sized one with 12 total games, so there are plenty of intriguing player options. As on most slates, we have a lot of prevalent injury news that we are waiting on which could shake up the slate when released. Be sure to keep on eye on these injury situations as we approach roster lock. Let's dive in to the breakdown of the NBA main slate on FanDuel tonight!

Top Play:
Fred VanVleet (PG - $7200) -
Fred VanVleet has been carrying an injury designation for about a week now, but he has been cleared of all tags for tonight. Those titles haven't restricted FVV's court time in the games he has played as he ranged from 33-40 minutes in each of his last four contests. VanVleet is averaging nearly 40 FD points per game this season, so $7200 is too cheap of a salary for VanVleet when seeing that volume of minutes. When you take into account that his matchup is against a Lakers team that only trails the Rockets in fantasy points allowed to opposing point guards, he is tough to ignore. Even though he has only reached value one time in his past four contests, look for FVV to have a smash performance tonight. On a massive 12 game slate that is littered with strong DFS options, FVV is my favorite play of the day.

Jordan Clarkson (PG/SG - $5000) -
Jordan Clarkson finds himself in a prime smash spot tonight with teammate Donovan Mitchell sitting out with a calf injury. Bogdanovic and House have been ruled out for tonight's contest as well, which is more insurance that Clarkson will see an uptick in minutes. Clarkson is averaging 1.04 fantasy points per minute with a 30.5 % usage rate when playing without Mitchell this season - a significant upgrade over his .89 and 21.9% totals when they share the court. Jordan Clarkson played 30+ minutes in each of his last three games and surpassed 36 FD points in two of them, and those were in games where Donovan Mitchell played. It's more likely that Clarkson hits 8x value than it is him not reaching 5x tonight, so he is a lock in my lineup.
