The main slate tonight is a small one with 5 total games, so every lineup choice you make is even more critical than usual. As on most slates, we have a lot of prevalent injury news that we are waiting on which could shake up the slate when released. Be sure to keep on eye on these injury situations as we approach roster lock. Let's dive in to the breakdown of the NBA main slate on FanDuel tonight!

Top Play:
Zach LaVIne ($7200) -

With DeMar DeRozan sitting tonight, Zach LaVine will be the primary contributor to the Bulls offense. Even if DeRozan were to play, LaVine's salary of $7200 would still be too cheap as he has eclipsed 35+ FD points in six of his last eight, including four games of 40+. Factoring in an increased usage rate and excellent matchup, LaVine becomes an almost must play. When LaVine has played this season without DeRozan, he is averaging 1.26 FD points per minute with a massive 33.6% usage rate. The strength of tonight's fantasy producers are at the guard positions, but LaVine still sticks out as a tier above them. Zach LaVine will be in my lineup tonight, and I recommend that he is in yours as well.
Best Value:
Bobby Portis (PF/C - $5000) -
Bobby Portis has seen his minutes decrease with the return of Brook Lopez which has resulted in his salary decreasing all the way down to $5000. Fortunately for him, he will have to return to a large minute share with both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton out for tonight's contest. Bobby Portis continuously shined all season when tasked with a larger role, so expect him to do it once again. When Portis has played without Giannis on the court this season, he is averaging 1.13 FD points per minute. At a salary of $5000, you would only need Portis to play an expected 23 minutes to reach value, and his projected minutes for tonight is approximately 10 more than that. Bobby Portis is a free square for tonight's contest - take advantage of it.
