The blowout in the MIL-DEN game hurt my lineup last night, but I was able to hold on in most cash games and GPPs. On the main slate for today, we have 10 games to pick from. With stars like LeBron James and Luka Doncic likely not playing, and the COVID protocols in Toronto, there are tons of plays that you simply shouldn't pass up on. However, that makes the slate relatively chalky, so you can try getting creative and risky with your lines if you like. As I say everyday, the top plays and my lineup core can change with injury or rest news, so make sure to stay up to date. Let's dive into the breakdown of the NBA main slate on Fanduel today!
Reminder: If you would like the lineup that I will be using, RT the article post on twitter for at @SportsVerseHQ, DM @Excyphir, and follow them both. Since my lineups usually change with injury news, be sure to check DMs before lock in case of a change. I usually send my lineups out around 30 minutes to an hour prior to lock, so as long as you have followed the steps and DMed me, you will receive it.
Top Play:
Kristaps Porzingis - $7,800:
With Luka Doncic unlikely to play today, Kristaps Porzingis will have to step into a larger role for the Mavericks offense. Obviously, he had a pretty big role to begin with, but taking away one of the highest usage players in the league will open a plethora of more opportunities for the other Mavs. I expect Porzingis and Brunson to be the main beneficiaries of this, but anyone who plays will have significantly more upside. Also, the Thunder are in the top 10 worst teams in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing PFs and Cs, which makes the play even more appealing.
Best Value:
Talen Horton-Tucker - $3,900:
The Lakers lineup will be a mess coming into this game. LeBron James is resting, Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol are still out, and Alex Caruso and Kyle Kuzma are questionable. The team is very depleted on all fronts for this match-up, which means that some value players are going to have to step into larger roles. Of these players, I like Talen Horton-Tucker the best. He has been seeing respectable minutes as of late, so with all the injuries, I expect him to start and see 30+ minutes. The Kings are one of the worst defensive teams in the league, so take that into account as well. THT is not a core play of mine just because of the sheer value on the slate, but there is a great chance that he will make my lineup.
