NBA DFS Picks For FanDuel 3/8/22

The main slate tonight is a smaller sized one with 6 total games, so every lineup choice you make is even more critical to your success than usual. As on most slates, we have a lot of prevalent injury news that we are waiting on which could shake up the slate when released. Be sure to keep on eye on these injury situations as we approach roster lock. Let's dive in to the breakdown of the NBA main slate on FanDuel tonight!

It took no time for Kevin Durant to get back to his normal self with 37 and 31 point performances in his first two games back from injury. There was no easing back in for him either as he logged 38 and 35 minutes in those two performances, which means that we can expect him to carry his usual workload again tonight. His scoring upside alone is enough to consider him a top DFS play on any given slate, but he is in a terrific matchup tonight against a Hornets team that allows the seventh and sixth most fantasy points to opposing small forwards and power forwards. This game also carries the highest implied total of any game on the slate, and projects to be the second closest, which is a good sign that there will be some quality fantasy performances on both sides. With no Harden anymore, KD will be tasked with carrying an even larger offensive load moving forward.

Best Value:

Herbert Jones (PF - $4600) -

There are a number of players that are priced in the $5000s that I love on this slate, but my best value title is restricted to players priced under that threshold. There aren't many players priced in that range that currently stand out as strong options, but Herbert Jones is one of the few. Herbert Jones isn't the most productive of fantasy options with a .73 fantasy point per minute average, but he is a reliable piece of the Pelicans rotation that regularly sees over 30 minutes on the court. His volume creates for a relatively safe floor given his cheap salary, and we have seen some instances of upside with 40 FD point performances, although those aren't in abundance. Brandon Ingram is currently listed at questionable, and if he is unable to suit up, Herbert Jones would be an even safer salary reliever.
