NBA DFS Picks For Fanduel 5/4/21

What a day we had last night! My lineup was looking like a potential takedown to start yesterday's slate, and even though it didn't end that way, the lineup still scored 396 points and smoked all contest types. Russell Westbrook, Caris LeVert, Saddiq Bey, Rui Hachimura, and Damontas Sabonis were the main players who contributed to the success. Hopefully we can carry over that momentum to tonight's seven game main slate to start a new hot streak! As I say everyday, the top plays and my lineup core can change with injury or rest news, so make sure to stay up to date. Let's dive into the breakdown of the NBA main slate on Fanduel today!

Reminder: If you would like the lineup that I will be using, RT the article post on twitter for at @SportsVerseHQ, DM @Excyphir, and follow them both. Since my lineups usually change with injury news, be sure to check DMs before lock in case of a change. I usually send my lineups out around 30 minutes to an hour prior to lock, so as long as you have followed the steps and DMed me, you will receive it.

Top Play:

LaMelo Ball - $6,200:

The Hornets are going to be without many of their starters and rotational pieces for their game tonight - Miles Bridges, Gordon Hayward, PJ Washington, Devonte' Graham, and Cody Martin have all been ruled out. Any of the remaining Hornets players who usually see minutes are excellent options on the slate. Of the bunch, LaMelo Ball is my favorite. Since returning from injury, he has put up performances of 35 and 39 FD points, and I expect him to play more today than he did in those games. $6,200 is far too cheap for his role, especially in today's situation. LaMelo Ball is a lock for me.

Best Value:

Jalen McDaniels - $3,800:

LaMelo Ball is my favorite play of the slate, but his teammate, Jalen McDaniels, is my favorite play in terms of pure return on value. As mentioned above, the Hornets have a lot of injuries to usual starters for tonight's game. Given those injuries, it is almost certain that Jalen McDaniels will draw the start. At a near minimum cost of $3,800, there is virtually no way that he doesn't crush value. I think his median should be around 30 FD points, which is over 8x value. In other games of similar scenarios this season, he drew a price tag in the $5-6000's. Take advantage of his price and play him - he is a lock.
