Yesterday was the second time in a week that we have been shafted by Kristaps Porzingis. He was announced a starter for the game, but then was scratched after the lineup locked. Somehow, even with one of our most expensive players getting 0, we managed to cash in 50-50s. If Kristaps had played, the lineup probably would have hit in all formats. Regardless, we have what very well may be the last four game slate of the playoffs today. It is the set of games that features more of the superstars, so it is an intriguing day for fantasy. Let's jump right in!
Injury News:
- Russell Westbrook/Aaron Gordon/Michael Carter-Williams/Zach Collins are still out.
- George Hill/Giannis Antetokounmpo are probable for the Bucks today.
- Rajon Rondo is doubtful to make his bubble debut.
- Andre Iguodala/Jae Crowder are questionable for the Heat.
- Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is probable to play in Game 4 against the Blazers.
- Steven Adams is questionable to play today.
Top Plays:
LeBron James - $10,500/Anthony Davis - $10,900:
In this playoff series, Portland has had no answer for LeBron and AD. In the three games so far, LeBron and AD combined have only scored under 50 FD points once. If you pair them together, you should be a lock to score at least 100 FD points between the two. James Harden is a fine play if you are all over him for this slate, but I like both of these guys more. I think that Giannis is in a series that is getting out of hand and could have a blowout factor today, so I would avoid him, although he certainly can still be played. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are the clear star standouts on this slate in my eyes.
Best Value:
Luguentz Dort - $3,500:
Dort is not used heavily in the Thunder offense, but he plays a ton of minutes. At the minimum price tag, there should be no reason why he doesn't hit value. All you are asking for is a few points, rebounds, and a forced turnover or two. If you need someone super cheap, he should definitely be the play.
Gary Clark - $4,400:
The Magic look like they will be without Aaron Gordon for the rest of the series, so Gary Clark is going to continue to see starting minutes. He is not the most exciting fantasy player, but he is the obvious value at the power forward position, a position with not many great options. You only need a little over 20 FD points from him, and he is in prime position to get that for you.
Nerlens Noel - $4,500:
Nerlens Noel is only a good value play if Steven Adams sits. He has not been good from a fantasy standpoint in this series, but a missing Steven Adams would be a pathway to minutes for Noel. Noel can put up points when given adequate play time, but he hasn't really had that yet in the series.
Fade:
Eric Bledsoe - $6,400:
The player I will be fading today is Eric Bledsoe. He is probably not going to be super high owned, but he is one of the only more expensive options that I will not be considering today. He had a good performance for the Bucks in his last game, but he got a slight price increase, and is playing in a game with blowout potential. I like the more expensive options such as Chris Paul and Malcolm Brogdon more, while also liking some cheaper options like Markelle Fultz more than him too.
Player Pool:
Point Guard:
Damian Lillard - $9,500
Chris Paul - $7,900
Malcolm Brogdon - $7,600
Other great plays: Goran Dragic - $6,500, Markelle Fultz - $5,200
Shooting Guard:
Jimmy Butler - $8,500
C.J. McCollum - $7,200
Luguentz Dort - $3,500
Other great plays: James Harden - $11,300, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - $7,000, Khris Middleton - $6,600, Victor Oladipo - $5,900, Dennis Schroder - $5,700
Small Forward:
LeBron James - $10,500
Carmelo Anthony - $5,400
Evan Fournier - $5,000
Other great plays: Giannis Antetokounmpo - $11,500 (blowout potential today), Danilo Gallinari - $6,300, Jae Crowder - $4,400
Power Forward:
Anthony Davis - $10,900
Nerlens Noel - $4,500 (if Steven Adams doesn't play)
Gary Clark - $4,400
Other great plays: Bam Adebayo - $8,000, Jeff Green - $5,500, Khem Birch - $3,500
