Yesterday was one of the few days of playoffs thus far where we were not able to cash in any format. We finished just outside of the money in 50-50s - if the Lakers game wasn't a blow out, then we would have had a little bit bigger chance. Today, we are officially onto the first day where we don't have a full four game slate. Since both the TOR-BKN and PHI-BOS were sweeps, we only have two games on the slate today. Due to that, the player options are going to be very limited, and one wrong pick could cost your entire lineup. Nonetheless, let's jump into the analysis for the main slate today!
Injury News:
- Kristaps Porzingis has been ruled out for Game 5.
- Luka Doncic/Trey Burke are probable to play tonight.
- Dorian Finney-Smith is questionable with a hip injury.
- Patrick Beverley is doubtful to play for the Clippers in Game 5.
- Gary Harris is questionable to make his bubble debut today.
Top Play:
Luka Doncic - $11,000:
I will not make the mistake of even considering fading Luka again. On Sunday, I had serious concern for playing Luka with his ankle injury, but he managed to go crazy and score nearly 85 FD points. There is not much that needs to be said about the play, especially on this micro-slate. Just put him in your lineups.
Best Value:
Seth Curry - $4,800/Trey Burke - $4,400/Monte Morris - $4,000:
The best value on the slate comes from the Mavericks with Kristaps Porzingis not playing. On Sunday without Kristaps, Seth Curry and Trey Burke played 30 and 37 minutes respectfully, with Trey Burke finishing with the stronger fantasy performance. Monte Morris is also a terrific value option at just $4,000. He was inserted into the Nuggets starting lineup on Sunday, and played 35 minutes, much more than in the previous games this series.
Fade:
I really do not have any fades for this slate. I guess the closest thing to a fade I would have would be Mike Conley, but that is because of the other plays at the position instead of his own value. If you like a play today, then play them. There is only two games, so you have to go with your gut. I have a way that I will be approaching the slate due to my own liking (check lineup at bottom), but there really aren't going to be any bad lineups if you pick players from the pool I have below.
Player Pool:
Point Guard:
Jamal Murray - $7,800
Trey Burke - $4,400
Monte Morris - $4,000
Other great plays: Mike Conley - $6,500, Seth Curry - $4,800
Shooting Guard:
Luka Doncic - $11,000
Paul George - $7,500
Lou Williams - $6,200
Other great plays: Donovan Mitchell - $8,500, Jordan Clarkson - $5,100
Small Forward:
Kawhi Leonard - $10,400
Tim Hardaway Jr. - $5,600
Joe Ingles - $4,900
Other great plays: none
Power Forward:
Marcus Morris - $5,300
Paul Millsap - $5,000
Maxi Kleber - $4,900
Other great plays: Jerami Grant - $4,800, Royce O'Neale - $4,600
Center:
Nikola Jokic - $9,200
Rudy Gobert - $7,600
Ivica Zubac - $4,600
Other great plays: Boban Marjanovic - $4,200
Core/Lineup:
The core 3 for my lineup today are Trey Burke, Luka Doncic, and Kawhi Leonard. I would recommend locking in Joe Ingles at SF too, as there aren't any quality plays at the position outside of the two I will be playing.
PG: Trey Burke - $4,400
PG: Monte Morris - $4,000 SG: Luka Doncic - $11,000 SG: Paul George - $7,500 SF: Kawhi Leonard - $10,400 SF: Joe Ingles - $4,900
