Playoff NBA DFS Picks For Fanduel 8/31/2020

We have gone a little cold as of late with our lineups not hitting in 50-50s in the past two days. Prior to then, the lineups were on fire and smashed in all formats for the majority of the days within a small period, so I suppose I was due for a few bad days. I don't plan on starting a big loss streak anytime soon, so let's get into today's slate. On the main slate, we only have two games today, those being Game 6 between Houston and Oklahoma City, and the start of the second round match-up between Milwaukee and Miami. Since the slate is very small, you will not have a lot of room for error with your picks. Let's dive into the slate breakdown!

Injury News:

- Eric Bledsoe is questionable for Game 1 against the Heat.

Top Play:

Giannis Antetokounmpo - $11,500:

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the player that you want to lock in your lineups today. In the last series against the Magic, Giannis managed to score over 50 FD points in every game, and that was with some blow out performances. Against the Heat, I think it will be very unlikely that Giannis plays anything short of the full load. The Heat have been one of the teams who have slowed Giannis down more than others, but that is not much of a concern for me. Expect a 55+ FD point performance today.

Best Value:

Jae Crowder - $4,700:

There is not a ton of value on the slate today. I am not too intrigued by any options under $5,000, but there are some decent ones. I decided to go with Crowder as the best value play on the slate for the fact that there are no other good small forward options besides Giannis, Gordon, and Gallinari. He was pretty consistent in the Heat's sweep over the Pacers, as he scored over 22 FD points in his last three games. He is by no means a lock for me, but is certainly someone who I would consider playing. If Bledsoe sits, then George Hill would be the best value play on the slate, but that doesn't look likely as of now. Luguentz Dort and P.J. Tucker are two other players that are cheap and could be in your lineup today.

Fade:

Russell Westbrook - $9,400:

This probably isn't a surprise for most DFS players, but Russell Westbrook is the obvious fade for the slate today. He will still be on a minutes limit since he is rehabbing and adjusting back to his normal work load with his quad injury. At an expensive price tag, there is just no way I can play him knowing that he isn't going to play normal minutes.

Player Pool:

Point Guard:

Chris Paul - $8,200

Goran Dragic - $6,500

Eric Bledsoe - $5,800

Other great plays: George Hill - $4,400 (if Bledsoe sits or you really need a cheaper option)

Shooting Guard:

James Harden - $11,200

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - $7,300

Khris Middleton - $6,800

Other great plays: Jimmy Butler - $8,500, Dennis Schroder - $6,000, Tyler Herro - $5,200, Luguentz Dort - $3,700

Small Forward:

Giannis Antetokounmpo - $11,500

Danilo Gallinari - $5,500

Jae Crowder - $4,700

Other great plays: Eric Gordon - $6,000

Power Forward:

Bam Adebayo - $8,000

Robert Covington - $5,600

Jeff Green - $5,100

Other great plays: none

Center:

Brook Lopez - $5,700

Steven Adams - $5,500

P.J. Tucker - $4,200

Other great plays: none

Core/Lineup:

The pricing and lack of options on this slate makes it a tough one. My core 3 for the slate seen CP3 (* was Bledsoe before GTD news), Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Robert Covington.
