Is that a hot streak I feel coming? Our lineup absolutely smashed yesterday in all formats, and would have won you quite a bit of money in tournaments if you played them. In fact, we were only 10 FD points off of the perfect lineup yesterday with a 343 point showing. I am looking to keep the win streak going today with another slate that has two games - those being LAC-DEN and BOS-TOR. You probably aren't here to listen to me ramble on, so let's go over the slate breakdown!
Injury News:
- Patrick Beverley is questionable to return to the court today for the Clippers.
Top Play:
Kawhi Leonard - $10,500:
Even though his price tag continues to grow, I will be playing Kawhi Leonard until he gives me a reason not to. He scored over 50 FD points in all six of the Clippers first round series games, so there is no reason to stop playing him now. The Nuggets are not a strong defensive team, and Kawhi should be able to capitalize on that and put on a show. There are ways to construct your roster without Kawhi on the slate, but I am not interested in those strategies much today. I will be locking in Kawhi Leonard.
Best Value:
Ivica Zubac - $4,900:
Unlike yesterday's two game slate, there are a decent amount of cheap options to choose from today. If there were less roster restrictions on Fanduel, then I would probably try to play both Jokic and Zubac, but unfortunately, you will have to choose between the two unless you go the unique route. Jokic is an excellent play, but Zubac's price tag is too cheap. He only failed to score over 20 FD points once in the Clippers first round series, and has continued to get more minutes than Harrell. There are plenty of other decent value options on the slate including Pat Beverley (if he plays), Monte Morris, Gary Harris, Jerami Grant, Marcus Morris, Marc Gasol, and Robert Williams.
Fade:
Jamal Murray - $9,000:
Just the fact that I am writing this means that you should probably play Jamal Murray. It seems like every time I play Jamal he disappoints, but when I fade him he explodes for over 60 FD point performances. Jamal Murray was insane in the Nuggets first round series against the Jazz, but the Clippers are a much different team. They are a significantly better defensive team, particularly on the perimeter, so I don't expect Jamal to be able to feast on the defense like he did in Round 1. He is not a bad play, especially in risky formats like tournaments, but I will likely have no exposure to him, especially with other big name players in good situations like Kawhi and Jokic.
