Playoff NBA DFS Picks For Fanduel 9/4/2020

We have cashed three days in a row! Our lineup was not the strongest yesterday, but it managed to slip in and cash in 50-50s, as well as in some pools. Although high-owned, Lowry was a great play, and others such as Jaylen Brown and Marcus Morris exceeded their targeted value. Today, we have two games on the slate between MIA-MIL, and LAL-HOU. With these teams playing, there is no shortage of stars on the slate - the stars include Giannis, LeBron, AD, Harden, Westbrook and more. Let's start with the run-down of the NBA main slate on Fanduel!

Injury News:

- Rajon Rondo is probable to make his bubble debut for the Lakers.

- Andre Iguadola is questionable for Game 3 with an ankle injury.

- Kelly Olynyk is also questionable for Game 3, with a bruised right knee.

Top Play:

Giannis Antetokounmpo - $10,600:

The Bucks have to win a game right? They are in really scary territory now as they have not looked like their regular season selves, and have fallen down 2-0 to the hot Heat team. Despite not playing up to his MVP caliber season, Giannis has still managed to put up respectable fantasy outings of 51 and 44 FD points this series. I still believe that Giannis has the most upside of any player on the slate, and I like him even more given that he has seen around a $1,000 price decrease. I predict that Giannis and the Bucks go out and get a much needed win.

Best Value:

Danuel House Jr. - $4,600:

I consider value plays to be anyone priced under $5,000, so unfortunately Jae Crowder no longer fits under that agenda. There are not really any stand out value plays today, but there are some salary relief players that can be played if needed. The top value play of the slate for me is Danuel House Jr. You are likely playing either Giannis or LeBron today, and if you aren't playing both, then small forward is a position that you could save up on to get another superstar at a different position. He is not a player that will consistently light up the stat sheet, but he has a decently high floor given the amount of minutes he plays, and that is the main thing to look for when targeting cheap options. Rajon Rondo (if playing decent minutes), George Hill, Danny Green, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Kyle Kuzma, Jeff Green, Marvin Williams, and Dwight Howard are other cheap options that I don't love, but can be played.

Fade:

Goran Dragic - $7,200:

The one player over $7,000 that I will be fading today is Goran Dragic. It is no secret that Dragic has been phenomenal in playoffs. In the six playoff games he has played so far, he has only scored under 34 FD points twice. He really is not a bad play today, but there is almost no way I will be fitting him in my lineup based on the other players on the slate. At point guard, you have Russell Westbrook at just $1,300 more who has a ton of more upside given he is playing his usual minutes again, and Eric Bledsoe at $1,500 less, with him also playing again. I won't argue too much against playing Dragic, I just think your money should be spent elsewhere for the slate.

Player Pool:

Point Guard:

Russell Westbrook - $8,500

Eric Bledsoe - $5,600

Rajon Rondo - $3,800 (depending on minutes)

Other great plays: George Hill - $4,500

Shooting Guard:

James Harden - $11,000

Jimmy Butler - $8,700

Khris Middleton - $7,500

Other great plays: Tyler Herro - $5,400, Danny Green - $4,300, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope - $4,000

Small Forward:

LeBron James - $10,800

Giannis Antetokounmpo - $10,600

Eric Gordon - $5,600

Other great plays: Jae Crowder - $5,000, Danuel House Jr. - $4,600

Power Forward:

Anthony Davis - $11,200

Bam Adebayo - $8,000

Robert Covington - $6,800

Other great plays: Kyle Kuzma - $4,900, Jeff Green - $4,600, Marvin Williams - $3,800

Center:

Brook Lopez - $5,700

P.J. Tucker - $5,100

Dwight Howard - $4,100

Other great plays: none

Core/Lineup:

You probably noticed that I included almost all of the most expensive plays as the top players in my player pool. Obviously, you won't be able to play all of those people, but the stars today are all in really good positions with solid prices. With that being said, the slate is a tough one because you will have some difficult choices to make if you will not be using my lineup. My core 3 for the slate are Eric Bledsoe, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Brook Lopez (not intentionally all Bucks players).
