Can we make it five days in a row? Our lineup didn't go crazy yesterday, but it ended up finishing in the top 40-45%, meaning that it took home the money in 50-50s. Although I would be happy cashing in 50-50s everyday, I would like to go back to smashing all formats like we did the first two days of this new streak. Either way, I don't plan on shying away from the win column today. Like on Thursday, today's slate features games between LAC-DEN, and BOS-TOR. Let's dive in!
Injury News:
- none as of now
Top Play:
Kyle Lowry - $9,000:
Kyle Lowry's significant price increase will not be enough to stop me from playing him today. On Thursday, the Raptors were in a must win game, and Kyle Lowry played an insane 46 minutes (take notes Budenholzer). With today's game being a much similar situation, I expect Lowry to see over 40 minutes of action once again. Lowry has scored over 45 FD points in his last two games, and I fully expect him to be around that mark again. All of the solid point guard options are now over $8,000, but Lowry is the one that I want to play. I am locking him into my lineup.
Best Value:
Robert Williams - $3,800:
There is some decent value today, especially at center, but I decided to go with Robert Williams as the top value option. In his three games in this series, he has scored 18, 18, and 27 FD points. Those numbers may not seem anything crazy, but at just $3,800, that is nearly hitting value every time. Not to mention that in the most recent game, he had to go to the locker room for an injury before eventually returning to the bench. Robert Williams is not a must play, but I would strongly recommend taking one of the value options at center. Ivica Zubac and Jerami Grant are two other very strong value plays. Monte Morris, Gary Harris, and Marc Gasol are other cheap options if you need them.
Fade:
Jamal Murray - $8,600:
I am taking the same route as Thursday for my fade, which means that Jamal Murray gets the short end of the stick. We all know that he was phenomenal in his first round series, but he has failed to register a 30 FD point game in his last two starts. The Clippers have tremendous defenders, so I would not be surprised to see him get shut down in most of the games moving forward. He has the chance to put up another crazy game, so he is a fine play for tournaments, but it is more likely that he busts and doesn't reach value. I don't trust him to be able to score 40 points, but if you like volatile plays, he is your guy. I would advise to go elsewhere in cash formats.
